Our bodies have a remarkable ability to store experiences, emotions & memories.

Somatic therapy is a style of counselling where your body & intuition lead the way.

You've been feeling "wired & tired."

And the world feels out of control.

It's hard to navigate your big feelings

So you've been holding it all in.

Shutting down or numbing out,

Isolating yourself from those you love...

& constantly criticizing yourself ...

...this is for you.

If....

I’m Andree (she/her), a certified Relational Somatic Therapist and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor dedicated to helping people reconnect with their bodies and process emotions stored deep within.

Many of my clients come feeling like they’ve been longing for a deeper connection to themselves, their bodies and their loved ones.

True transformation happens beyond the conscious mind.

It’s not about fixing you or trying to “figure you out”—it’s about coming into deeper connection with who you truly are.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, creating space for relief, presence, and connection.

I’ll support you in navigating the hard stuff, not with judgment, but with care and collaboration.

I love working with people who are willing to explore life’s depths, and your big feelings are not only welcome here—they’re honoured.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your life-long inner exploration, I’m here to be your guide and co-conspirator.

Many of us feel disconnected from our bodies, caught in cycles of self-judgment and overwhelm.

Our bodies and nervous systems hold the weight of trauma, collective conditioning, and inherited patterns—shaping how we see ourselves and each other.

In a world that constantly demands more, we carry stress that builds up until we either shut down or lash out, pulling us further from the people we love.

In somatic therapy, we slow down and tune in to bodily sensations, emotions, and subtle energies, allowing you to notice what arises without judgment.

"As someone who has experienced intense anxiety since I was a child, I’ve gone through numerous types of therapy.

Somatic therapy has helped me to connect and be in tune with how my body is feeling when I’m anxious. It takes me out of my head and helps me to recognize how I’m feeling, where my body is holding the anxiety and to release it. My brain and body are connecting and working through experiences together."

Anxious and
On Edge

You're a leader in your community and family, but it often feels like you’re always on high alert, as if something’s wrong and you can’t rest until it’s fixed. Somatic therapy helps you regulate your nervous system, providing practical tools and frameworks for finding calm and self-regulation.

Emotionally Overwhelmed

You're sensitive, so intense feelings build up, making it hard to manage or understand what’s really going on or why you feel overwhelmed. To cope, you might find yourself numbing out with scrolling, addictions, or other habits that don’t serve you. Somatic therapy offers a space to process emotions safely and cultivate self-compassion.

Struggling to Connect

Community is important to you, so you want to be present with the people you care about. But it’s hard when you’re carrying so much inside. Sometimes, it can feel easier to withdraw and isolate. In our sessions, we create a safe space where you can explore new ways of communicating your needs and reconnecting with others.

You've been doing your inner work. But lately, it feels like you’re searching for something deeper.

You can think of your nervous system like your inner child.

Somatic therapy invites you to listen to your body and reconnect with your inner experience, giving yourself what you need to feel safe and whole.

This approach is rooted in the belief that our bodies carry stories, memories, and patterns that shape how we experience the world. We are shaped by the systems we live within.

Through gentle guidance and body-based practices, somatic therapy helps you access this deeper wisdom, offering a path to healing that goes beyond traditional talk therapy.

This process awakens an intuitive connection to yourself—often revealing insights, emotions, and shifts that words alone cannot reach.

As you learn to recognize and release held tension or unprocessed trauma, you create space for new ways of being to emerge.

FAQ

What can somatic therapy help with?

Somatic therapy supports anxiety relief, trauma healing, chronic pain, stress relief, emotional regulation, physical tension, burnout, and relationship challenges by helping you connect with your body, complete survival responses and release stored emotions, so you can build nervous system resilience. We can also explore imagination and possibility, connecting to your primal energy, alchemizing your emotions and much, much more.

How many sessions will I need?

I prefer to work with people long term. We usually start with a commitment of 6-12 sessions to establish a foundation of trust and body awareness. Many clients benefit from ongoing work for lasting change, but after six sessions, we’ll review and determine the best path forward. I suggest bi-weekly sessions until you have reached your goals.

How is a somatic therapist trained?

Relational Somatic Therapists are trained in trauma, attachment and body-centered approaches, including a specialized nervous system focus. I am currently pursuing certification as a Clinical Somatic Educator to better serve my clients who experience chronic pain through Clinical Somatic Exercises. My experience includes years of frontline mental health and harm reduction work in community.

Do you offer Clinical Somatic Exercises?

I am currently in an advanced 2.5 year training for certification as a Clinical Somatic Educator, and can bring Clinical Somatic Exercises for chronic pain into our sessions upon request. I will be creating more offerings around somatic exercises in the near future, subscribe below to stay in touch.

Do I need experience with somatics before I start?

No, I will explain everything as we go along, and we will collaborate to find a personalized style that works for you! Each person's process is unique, and we will work together to find what resonates most with you. I can also offer resources to help you understand the science and method behind the techniques.

What does a typical session look like?

Each session is unique and may involve guided attention to bodily sensations and body language, visualization, and somatic practices. We will sit together and talk about what you're feeling, working with mindfulness & movement alongside reflective conversation. The goal is to create a safe space for exploration and connection with your inner experience. I'm not interested in categorizing you or figuring you out - I'm curious about how the techniques land with you, and we will collaborate together to create a space for you to reflect on our process.
